The Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) is both an overall committee and 22 individual committees for each program that work closely with CPAVTS instructors to help them improve their curriculum and explore professional development opportunities. The OAC assists in identifying industry standards that programs should strive to meet and guides instructors in the development of their curricula and teaching methods in order to meet those standards. OAC meetings are held bi-annually, although individual members may assist instructors outside of these predetermined gatherings. Currently, the OAC contains 100+ members.
