Registration Link for Middle School Summer Camp

 

CPAVTS is excited to host various Middle School camps this June. Students that will be in grades 6-8 for the 2019-2020 school year are invited to attend.   Each camp will cost $35 for a Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am-11:30 am and each camper will receive a t-shirt.  

June 10-13 Camp Offerings 8:30 am-11:30 am (choose one)

Sawdust to Shingles:  Creative Carpentry Camp will touch base on a variety of basic building skills to produce and exciting week for future builders.  We will work together to produce a project the students will be proud of.  Closed toe work shoes, long pants, and a positive attitude are required.  Filled-Registration is closed

Camp Greenhorn:  Campers will be learning the basics of Mig welding and metal bending.  Campers should wear closed toe shoes (preferably ankle high boots due to sparks from welding), old jeans, and sweatshirt that can get dirty. Filled-Registration is closed

Daytime Detectives:  Join us for fun, friend, and crime solving as campers learn what it takes to be a successful detective.  Campers will learn basic investigative skills, use police equipment, and will work together to solve crimes.  Campers should come ready to work as a team, and get outside their comfort zone and put their reasoning skills to the test.  Attire should include a hat, t-shirt, pants, and sneakers.  Activities will be inside and outside so dress appropriately.  Filled-Registration is closed

Super Hot, Super Chillin' HVAC:  Campers will solder, braze, and work with PVC and pipe.  Campers will also learn basic electric wiring and also check the operation of air conditioning and heating units.  Campers should wear long cotton pants, closed toe shoes, and refrain from exposed jewelry. Filled-Registration is closed 

Behind the Chair Cosmetology Camp:  Camp will consist of learning hands on curling iron, French twists, highlighting, and manicure techniques.  Campers will also learn basic hair theory.  Campers should wear long pants, rubber shoes, and a short sleeve shirt.  Please do not wear tank tops or shorts.  Filled-Registration is closed

Plant your Future:   Campers will be connecting with nature by exploring the plant world and opportunities it has to offer.  Campers will experience fun hands-on activities indoors and outdoors.  Please wear closed toe shoes, t-shirt, and jeans that can get dirty.

Forklifts R' US:  Discover what goes on inside a warehouse and distribution center.  campers get hands-on training on pallet stacking and wrapping, RFID scanners, and forklift operations.  Please wear closed toe shoes.  

ECE Works for Me:  Campers will learn games, songs, and tricks of the trade when working with pre-school children.  Campers should wear t-shirts, jeans without holes, or shorts below your fingertips.  

Hanging with the Health OCC:  Campers will learn various skills in the field of Dental and Nursing as well as health and wellness tips and techniques.  Campers will have Dental camp for 2 days and Nursing camp the other 2 days.  Campers are encouraged to wear sneakers, pants, and a t-shirt.

Flip the Switch to Summertime:  During this exciting week of discovery, students will learn about how electricity behaves, what it actually is and how to wire common electrical circuits.  Campers should wear jeans or khakis, work boots or closed toe shoes.  Safety glasses and tools will be provided.  Filled-Registration is closed

Camp Horsepower:  Campers will learn about automotive engines, systems, and electronics.  Campers should wear jeans, closed toe shoes, and attire ready for grease.  Filled-Registration is closed
