The infectious period is defined as the 48 hour period before a person either exhibited symptoms or tested positive.

Per CDC Guidance, students and staff who are determined to be Close Contacts (i.e. within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes must quarantine.  Exception: In the K–12 indoor classroom setting, the close contact definition excludes students who were within 3 to 6 feet of an infected student if both the infected student and the exposed student(s) correctly and consistently wore well-fitting masks the entire time.
