coop spotlight- jan 2019

Jacob Shy, a senior from Mechanicsburg High School, leaves school early each day and reports to his cooperative education position at Flight Systems Inc. After 2 years of classroom and hands on training in the Automation, Robotics, and Electronics program at CPAVTS, Jacob was offered a position with the Flight Systems Inc. He reports to the production floor each day to find a new task awaiting his arrival. His training in the ARE program helped prepare him for trouble shooting problems with electrical systems and circuit boards, testing solutions, and follow electrical schematics. These real world situations are difficult to duplicate in the classroom setting. Jacob has cherished this opportunity and says it has helped prepare him for any and all future endeavors. This experience has especially benefited him as he pursues his dream position in Aviation Electronics. His career path is definitely headed in the right direction!
