Tessa Iski, a senior from South Middleton High School, starts off each school day by pulling into the Fredrickson Outpatient Center in Mechanicsburg.  She reports to Peter J Sakol, M.D. who is in charge of Oculofacial Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic & Laser Surgery.  Tessa is currently enrolled in the Nursing Assistant program at Cumberland Perry AVTS and working through the Cooperative Education program.  After 2 years in the Nursing program, Tessa realized obtaining her CNA and working at a traditional hospital was not in the cards for her.  As a senior, she started to realize she had a passion for the field of Ophthalmology.  As luck would have it, Dr Sakol called CPAVTS inquiring about hiring a student to assist in his office.  From there, the match was made and a great relationship has evolved.  Each day Tessa checks patients in, assists with their records, provides aide to other medical assistants, and checks patients out.  Her role as a team member is paramount in ensuring the best patient care and service are provided by Dr Sakol’s practice.  Tessa is well on her way to a successful career in the heath profession
