Catching Up With...Madeline Gleason and Isabelle Lowe, Class of '16
Maddie Gleason and Isabelle Lowe came by their old stomping grounds at Cumberland Perry to enjoy breakfast at the CPAVTS Cumberland Café.
These ladies both ended up in the health care field after leaving CPAVTS, but food preparation is a part of patient care.
Describe the company or industry in which you currently work.
“I currently work in healthcare at the County Meadows Retirement Community.”-Maddie
“I work in Medicare Insurance for Novita Solutions.”- Isabelle
What is your job title and what do you do?
“I am a Personal Care Associate, I provide personal care for the elderly patients/residents.”
“I am a Provider Service Advocate for Medicare.”
What other employment have you had related to your program areas at CPAVTS?
“I worked for a pizza shop.”
“Cooking on a daily basis, but I haven’t worked anywhere in industry.”
What additional education and training did you receive after leaving CPAVTS?
“I am currently enrolled in college and CPAVTS definitely prepared me.”-both
How was Cumberland Perry different than your regular high school?
“I felt CPAVTS was more student friendly, we were treated as “professionals” and the instruction was individualized for all students to become successful in a career they are interested in.”
“It was more laid back, and he work was hands-on.”
What is your favorite CPAVTS memory?
“2016 End of the Year Party, all outings we did as a class.”
“The Thanksgiving meal our program had every year.”
