Catching Up With...Tyler Ruoss, Class of '18
Tyler just graduated from CPAVTS program, Precision Machine Technology last year, and he is already make strides in the world of machining. Here is just a little of what he shared with us.
Describe the company or industry in which you currently work.
“I work for USA Spares, we make parts for the government.”
What is your job title and what do you do?
“Apprentice. I run a CNC Lathe.”
What other employment have you had related to your program areas at CPAVTS?
“I have only worked with USA Spares since graduating from CPAVTS.”
What additional education and training did you receive after leaving CPAVTS?
“Apprenticeship at Manufacturers Association. CPAVTS taught me tons and I got to skip classes because I was already ahead in my training.”
How was Cumberland Perry different than your regular high school?
“I wanted to come to school and learn!!!! It was a welcoming and everyone helped each other out. Also everything here is hands-on.”
What is your favorite CPAVTS memory?
“Going to SkillsUSA competitions for CNC Tech.”
