What is the hardest part of your program?
“Electronics, such as A.C. and D.C. power, ohms laws/watts laws, sine wave.”
What is the most fun part of your program?
“All of the materials we have to learn, and the individual projects.”
What is some of the recent technology you are learning to use in your program that is specific to your profession?
“Robotics commonly used in the industry. There is also 3D printing, which is also commonly used.”
What is your plan for after high school?
“I want to go to Thaddeus Stevens, I plan to go to a two-year college.”
What is going to be the highlight of the year in your program?
“Finishing a project on making a rotary subwoofer.”
What are you proud of learning how to do in your program?
“Arduino programming and circuit making.”
Explain a typical day in your program?
“1st period- all level 1 students are in a lecture while level 2’s work in the lab. 2nd period- All student go to our Social Studies classes. 3rd period- level 2 students are in a lecture while level 1’s work in the lab. 4th period- all students work in the lab. ”
How is your program at CPAVTS different from other classes you have had in the past.
“Much more hands- on, independent, more professional, and more freedom. We need to wear uniforms, we can learn at our own reasonable pace.”
What advice would you give to a beginning Level 1 students who is just starting the program, or to a student interested in enrolling in the program?
“Focus, don’t be interruptive, don’t be a trouble-maker. Work hard, and continue your learning at home.”
